PRIVACY POLICY RAJA TRADING | THE URBAN GARDEN STORE

Your personal data. You leave them with us, because that's what you have to do when you want to order something. But we can imagine that you would like to know why we ask for your personal information and what we do with it. We like to tell you that here, but in all cases we keep your private data private. If you have any questions after reading this, please let us know through our customer service.

We understand that privacy is extremely important, respect your privacy to the fullest and ensure that the personal information you provide us with is treated confidentially. In addition to registered e-mail addresses for our newsletters and the data of personal accounts created, we annually destroy all digital customer data. However, based on tax legislation, this information can still be found in our paperwork.

All the information you leave behind with us will be safely locked up with the latest techniques. Anyone who has nothing to do with your data simply cannot access it. If we give your information to someone else - you will find below why and when we do - we require that they treat your information with the same care as we do and only use it for the purpose for which it was given to them. If you feel that this is not happening, please let us know through our customer service.

  1. Which third parties process your data on our behalf?

Your data will also be (partly) used by the following third parties for the execution of your order or shop order. For each third party, the precise information they use and the purpose for which they do so are indicated;

In our order processing:

  • Lightspeed (name, address, phone number, distinction between guest and customers with an account, email addresses for newsletter subscriptions)
  • Dropship suppliers (name, address, phone number, email address)

At our payment providers:

  • ICEPAY (name, address, phone number, email address)
  • AfterPay (name, address, phone number, email address)
  • Mollie (name, address, phone number, email address)

With our shipping partners:

  1. What types of data are all stored?

In order to protect your privacy as much as possible, we only use the information we need to process your order properly and to make offers. For your order we need your name, e-mail address, address(es), payment details and your telephone number.

  1. Why do we store your data?

We use your data for various purposes. After this you can see what those goals are. In doing so, we use information received from you, such as information about your visit to our website.

Delivering your order

For your order we need your name, e-mail address, address(es), payment details and your telephone number. This allows us to deliver your order and keep you informed about your order. We also give your data to third parties if necessary for an order, for example to our shipping partners. We require all our third parties to treat your data with the same care as we do.

Your account

In your account at www.rajatrading.nl we store, among other things, the following information: your name, (mobile) telephone number, e-mail address, delivery and possibly billing address and optionally whether you are a private or business customer. That's handy, because then you don't have to enter these data every time. We also store information about your previous orders so that you can easily find them.

Customer service

You can call and e-mail us via our website or directly via [email protected] In order to be able to help you quickly with questions, we use your data and make notes that we keep. It's handy if you call us again. Details of a phone call to you may be recorded. In this way, you help us to analyse and improve our services. Sometimes we use another party to answer your questions. He can use your data for that.

Repair

Sometimes we use another party to carry out repairs on products you have purchased from us. That party can use your data for that purpose.

Newsletters

You can subscribe to our newsletter. This way you will stay informed about our offers, promotions and our news. If you don't want to receive newsletters from us anymore, you can unsubscribe here. Simple, isn't it?

Reviews

We love reviews. And so are our customers. If you want to write a review, choose whether your personal details or your name are visible to other visitors and whether we can contact you about your review. We keep track of who writes which review.

Contests

If you participate in a promotion or competition, we will ask for your name, address and e-mail address. This way we can carry out the action and announce the winner(s). We also measure the response to our actions.

Personal shopping

Our ad networks can show you ads. This is based on your previous visits to our website. We will then look at our cookies and your IP address. This is based on your previous visits to our websites and the websites of third parties. We and our advertising networks then collect your browsing, search and buying behaviour based on cookie techniques, your IP address and the ad number linked to the device you are surfing on. Read more about our cookies in section 6.

Pay afterwards

If you buy items that you don't want to pay for immediately, we use external agencies such as Afterpay, who will check your creditworthiness. For the purpose of that credit check, we may give your details to others, who may only use them for that purpose. In addition, we can call you to remind you of an invoice that has expired. Sometimes others make that phone call for us. We may also pass on your details to a collection agency and/or bailiff who collects non-payment invoices on our behalf.

Business customers and partner program

We also store contact details for our business customers and partners. If they are personal data, we will treat them in the same way as our other customers' data.

Social media

If you use social media, such as Facebook, you can use your social media account to log in to some places on our website. If you indicate that you like an article when you are logged in, that article will appear on your social media account. Raja Trading doesn't get access to your social media account, but you can share articles that you find fun, useful or useful with your friends. If you ask us a question via social media and we see that question pass by, we will save that message and your account name so that we can respond to your message.

  1. How long do we keep your data?

We do not retain or use your data longer than necessary. Then we'll delete all the data we have on you. Or we use your data anonymously, because we need certain data for internal analyses and reports such as the value of your order.

Sounds nice and simple, but how does it work in practice? We will keep to the following deadlines, after which we will remove your data:

  • We do not store camera images of our shop for more than 48 hours. Unless we see something suspicious that we need to investigate further.
  • We remove inactive customer accounts after 3 years. After this period, we will only use your data anonymously for internal reporting purposes.
  • From the Tax and Customs Administration we have to keep our administration with your invoice, payment and order details for 7 years. After that, we only use anonymous data for internal reports.
  • If you have your product repaired or replaced by us, we will only retain your notification and contact details until you have received your product back in working order.
  • If you have subscribed to the newsletter, we will keep that permission for a period of 5 years. If at any point you decide that you no longer wish to receive the newsletter or personalised messages, we will retain the right to withdraw your request. The mails you receive from us, we do not keep longer than 7 days. So you don't have to worry that you will get the same mail from us more often. After this period, we will only use your data anonymously for internal reporting purposes.
  1. Which cookies do we use and why?

Raja Trading distributes cookies when you visit our website. Thanks to cookies you don't have to enter or download the same information every time you return to us. Nice and handy! It has to be said: we also use them for marketing purposes. 

We also use JavaScript. This allows us to do beautiful things, sometimes in combination with cookies and web beacons. Such as remembering your shopping cart or displaying your previously viewed products. 

If you want to use our site in all its glory, you will need to accept our cookies. Luckily, that's very easy. You can accept our cookies in two ways: by answering the cookie question you receive on your first visit or by managing the cookies for our website yourself in your web browser.

    We use this cookie to remember whether or not you have closed the cookie message. Without this cookie, it will not be possible to close the notification permanently. This cookie is stored for 20 years.

    We use this cookie to remember whether or not you have closed the cookie message. Without this cookie, it will not be possible to close the notification permanently. This cookie is stored for 1 year.

    These cookies enable us to recognise you on our website, so that we know, for example, which shopping basket belongs to you and whether you are logged in. This Cookie will be removed after 30 minutes. Analyzing cookies:

    With Google Analytics we measure how you use rajatrading.com and how you found us. We use this knowledge to improve our site. Without this cookie we will miss your data. As a result, we do not see how you use our sites and you will have to wait longer for improvements. Storage period maximum 2 years.

For questions or complaints about your data and the protection of your privacy you can contact the Data Protection Officer of Raja Trading. You can do this by e-mail to [email protected] and in writing to Plattenburgerweg 91-1 at 6824 ET Arnhem, for the attention of Data Protection Officer. If you are not satisfied with how we deal with your privacy, you can contact the Personal Data Authority

  1. Is customer profiling used? 

Customer profiling is the division of customers into customer groups. For example, identifying customers with a high or low turnover potential. Because we only store the much needed personal data of our customers, we do not do any customer profiling. So we don't create a profile for you. 

  1. What possibilities do you have to view your data? 

Of course, you remain in charge of your data. Would you like to have free access to your personal data and receive a copy? Or do you want to change, delete, restrict use or change your email preferences? No problem. You can do this yourself in your Raja Trading account. Or you can let us know by mail or e-mail. This means that you can submit a request to us to send the personal data that we hold about you in a computer file to you or another organisation to which you refer. To ensure that the request for access has been made by you, please enclose a copy of your proof of identity with the request. Make your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip with numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number and Service Number (BSN) black in this copy. This is to protect your privacy. In this way, you can also object to the use of your data for marketing purposes or indicate that you believe that your privacy outweighs our interests. In that case, we will review the situation. 

  1. What we never do with your data

We never sell your information to anyone at all. Your information is exclusively for our own use and will in no case and in any way be provided to third parties other than processing your order and making offers.
