Growing with CO2 information
The CO2 fertilization system is a unique system that makes it possible to increase your harvest considerably.
Plants perform at their best when the level of CO2 sits between 1000-1200ppm. Yet in general, the air only contains around 400-450pp.
It’s easy to hit this target range and increase yields! Furthermore, during the warmer summer months, extra CO2 will actually help to prevent heat stress!
It consists of 3 parts:
- CO2 Generator
- CO2 Controller
- Air conditioning (for this we refer you to other suppliers)
But which CO2 generator is suitable for me now? With the help of the situation sketch below, we are happy to identify which CO2 generator is suitable for you:
Situation: Power Generator
2 Lamps of 600 Watt 2 x 600 Watt = 1.2 Kw 1.5 Kw
4 600 Watt lamps 4 x 600 Watt = 2.4 Kw 2.5 Kw
How does it work?
A (water-cooled) air conditioner ensures that the warm air no longer needs to be blown outside. The advantage of this is that the CO2 sticks better in the room. To produce the CO2, a CO2 generator and a gas connection or gas bottle are required. This can be done from the grid (natural gas) or from a gas bottle (propane gas).
The CO2 content must be (measured and) regulated. This is done by a CO2 controller. The generator and controller are connected to each other. When the CO2 level falls below the set level, the controller will control the generator to produce CO2.
What is CO2?
CO2 is a colorless and odorless gas that occurs naturally in the atmosphere. CO2 is the same as carbon dioxide or carbonic acid. Of all the air around us, an average of only 0.035% CO2. This 0.035% CO2 is usually expressed in 350 ppm (parts per Million) and means particles per million particles. In cities, the CO2 content is often somewhat higher +/- 350-400 ppm.
Why CO2?
CO2 is used by plants in photosynthesis. When CO2 is present, plants grow much faster and become more active. If the ppm is increased (e.g. 1000 ppm), the plant will react differently. The plant wants to grow and flower faster. More carbon dioxide (CO2) in the air allows the plant to absorb more carbon and thus produce sugars, among other things.
Plants can only absorb CO2 when it is close to them. CO2 is heavier than air, so it tends to fall to the bottom of the grow room. As a result, the best results can be achieved by using good air circulation.
The benefits of our CO2 fertilization systems:
- Plug and play!
- Sustainable technology
- Low consumption costs
- Increases the CO2 content up to 1500 ppm
- Ensures an optimal climate for the plant
- You get at least 30% more revenue from your space!
- You no longer need a pre-growing period! Directly in bloom.
- Struggling with the heat? Adding Extra CO2 Helps!
